Mixed Media Musings
April 3 – August 21, 2021
Art Heritage presents an eclectic showcase that brings together six dynamic artists—Aditi Aggarwal, Habiba Nowrose, Pallav Chander, Rajesh Deb, Sukanya Ghosh, and Sweety Joshi—who use a variety of mediums to explore urban life and contemporary sensibilities. The exhibition features works in digital and analogue photography, artist books, collages, and bricolage, reflecting the vibrancy and complexity of modern existence. From Aditi Aggarwal and Sukanya Ghosh’s manipulation of silver gelatin and photolithographs to create narratives that span time zones, to Habiba Nowrose’s vibrant digital prints inspired by Bangladeshi truck art, the exhibition highlights themes of identity, history, and the lived realities of modern life. Sweety Joshi using a blowtorch to symbolically critique societal values and Rajesh Deb crafting handmade rice paper books that juxtapose traditional stories with raw, contemporary themes of violence. Pallav Chander’s textured canvases blend bold colors and chaotic forms to reflect his personal journey with dyslexia, grounding viewers in familiar yet thought-provoking imagery.
