Resonance of the Singular

September 5 – September 30, 2024

Resonance of the Singular continues Art Heritage’s re-engagement with the print medium for the second consecutive year, following Untouched, Backwards, and Under Pressure. This year’s exhibition shifts attention to monotypes, monoprints, and chine-collé prints to explore the concept of singularity within a medium celebrated for its multiplicity. Drawing upon the 1967 principles of The Print Council of America and insights from Carl Zigrosser, Christa M. Gaehde, and Phil Sanders, the exhibition underscores that a print is not a reproduction but an original work, embodying the artist’s creative vision. By examining the spontaneity and fluidity inherent in single-edition prints, the exhibition continues Art Heritage’s broader initiative to deepen appreciation for the medium.
