Will this entanglement ever resolve?

March 6 – March 29, 2026

Will this entanglement ever resolve?, watercolors by Natasha Sachdeva presents a compelling body of work centered on the female body, identity, and the layered expectations placed upon women within contemporary society.

Natasha Sachdeva’s practice is rooted in an ongoing exploration of the female body and the layered realities of womanhood. Her work questions long-standing notions that dictate how women should look, act, and exist within society, drawing from personal experience while extending into a broader collective context. Works in this exhibition span multiple series—addressing weight gain, aging, and marriage—and examine companionship and stability alongside quiet compromise and the recalibration of individuality within shared life. Her figures—often voluminous, unposed, and unapologetically raw—challenge conventional ideals of beauty and grace. Collectively, the works are both confession and confrontation, reclaiming agency, dignity, and identity.

Natasha Sachdeva applied and was selected for IA&A at Hillyer’s 2026 Call for Proposals. Hillyer is a Washington DC based non-profit that supports the arts.
